Reving engine in drive

Asked by Xacsempire Jun 16, 2013 at 05:14 AM about the 2007 Honda Civic DX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 civic and only twice while I'm driving I can be going  about 30-35 mph take
my foot off the gas and when repressing the accelerator the engine revs asf I'm in
neutral. I depress and then repress and the car is driving normally again. It happened
driving down the street and once after a turn. Is it a warning something serious is on the
horizon or can fluid changes and tune uphelp?

1 Answer

...well check your transmission fluid level in park, be sure the level is between the two hash marks on your dipstick~ a loss in fluid can mean a leak somewhere, I'd look at the fluid connection to the radiator as this has a few pieces of flexible hose to the radiator and will sometimes leak there...look for telltale cherry red transmission fluid drips~
