eddie bauer 2003 v6 and v8 option
I have a 2003 eddie bauer. I have to get the engine replaced (cracked). This might be a dumb question but does anyone know If the the v6 can be easily replaced with the eddie bauer v8. I have had 2 explorers and I wish I bought the one with the v8. The v6 seems to have problem after problem. I am just hoping since the eddie bauer In 2003 had the v8 or v6 option that they may be interchangable. I have to have a new motor put in anyway, so I would much rather have a v8. Also the v6 is so bad on gas anyway. So if anyone knows if they can just be swapped, please let me know. Jordan.. jordanmurrayjcm@hotmail.com
Should be doable, but it depends on your definition of easy. Not sure if this requires any additional crossmembers, etc. Have a trusted mechanic give you a price to do the job.
