just go to your local tire dealer and he can show you how big and how wide.

Measure your tire now and measure the distance between the tire and rocker panel. Let's say it's 2 inches, you could add 1 inch safely. You want a inch to play with for misc. variables such as bumps and so forth. Once you start missing with your suspension you're going to start having problems with your ball joints.
