99 chevy silverado wont go in reverse

went to put truck in reverse and it wont go.Drives fine in any other gear.heard alot about maybe the sun shell didn't know if any body had any other suggestions

Why won't my truck shift into over drive 6 answers

It will switch through all three of the other gears just fine but it will not shift into overdrive. I have replaced both solinoids, filter, fluid, and gasket. Not sure what else it could be
