running lean

Asked by spikeboy Dec 17, 2009 at 07:34 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Extended Cab SB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lately my truck has been showing service engin soon light, I hokked up a code reader and it says it is running lean on bank 1, so, I did a real time data check while driving it and noticed the O2 sensor voltage on bank 1 is much lower and varies much more than #2, jumps anywhere from .10 to .74 and #2 is more rythmic variance.
Could this mean the sensor is bad? and making it run lean?
