Would not see why not as long as you get lower-profile tires to keep the overall wheel diameter the same.

its possible, but I wouldnt advise it. As stock rims are 14s or 15s, the k-factor (how many wheel revolutions it takes to make up one km) will be incorrect after. This will mean your speedo will not give you a true reading and could actually be travelling around 10+ mph faster than you think you are.

Additionally, Ive fould that your model of car suits a good set of 16s well, good balance of grip and handling at that size. Also don't forget if the new wheels weigh more than the stock ones, you will be adding weight and therefore be reducing power performance slightly.

chris.

also......make sure you use good, branded tyres too. 225/50/16 or somewhere in that region is good.

I've seen it done, they do look a bit big though.

wow your dumb.

the size of the wheel has no effect on the speedo wat so ever UNLESS the over all diameter of the wheel/tire is larger/smaller than the stock one.

example: on my mazda, my 195/65/15 is the same size as my 205/50/17 tires.
