my 1989 corvette will only start and run if I unplug the MAF , I replaced it and still have the same problem . the car has 7k miles on it . any help would be great .

unplugged it runs on presets,sounds like a coroded connector,computer, or if the mass air works in conjunction with another sensor before the pcm calculates ,,?/
