The original 53-54 was a pickup truck inline 6 anything new was some form of a V8. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvette after doing the research for you would you like me to read the page as well. I don't understand how people come across this page to ask these questions but can't find answers on their own

in 89 i beleive it was just a low compression 350. the largest production engine was the 454 in 1970.

in 89 it had a 350 L98 with aluminum heads and 69 callaways were made twin turbos....in 88 they made a change in the cam to give it another 5 hp with keeping the torque the same
