1985 Corvette dies when its hot

My daughter has an 85 corvette. Runs great on cool days, but any day over about 85 degrees outside and it will not run correctly. It will start and idle, but if you put it in gear and try to go it will stall. also from an idle if you try to rev it up it will die. Only on hot days though. Any ideas?
