I am a 2nd year GM apprentice, you need to go back to your vehicle and get all 17 characters of your VIN (you only have 14).
Get me the complete VIN and I will tell you the exact build of your ride and where it was made (even the options it came with).

Thinking further, pre 1980 hmmm... you might need to contact a Chevy dealer on that one. GM's SI only goes back to 1980. Hope this helps.

The 2nd year GM apprentice needs to do research, in the 70's corvette only issued 13 basic vin numbers. I think you are right. I beleive Mr. Tester has given you reliable information. You can do some simple research yourself if still in question.  Black Book Of Corvetts is a ghood place to start. Your local Corvette parts dealer can help also.

Well it seems you have a 75, but your vin number is off some like Barry294 suggested 1Z37 means you have a coupe, but your digits afterwards has to be a "J"=L48 165HP, or "T"=L82 205 HP, the next number states 5=1975, S for where built= St Louis, and the last are the build sequence.
