Dear homrich57--  When your 1989 Camaro RS came from the factory it included a computer chip that was designed for good performance and good fuel economy.    You can change the chip (the brains of the car) so your engine will give you more horsepower, though you will sacrifice fuel efficiency.  Also, you might add a cold air intake.  People who sell that item claim you can get up to 26 extra horsepower by installing one.  You can find these things at any of the hundreds of tuner shops which advertise online.   Good luck from Bovan.
