i got a stock xj jeep with a 15 inch rim i need to no wot max size tyre i can get on their with out any troubels.

It really depends on how much distance you have from the edge of the rim to the rock guard and/or fender. It also depends on what you plan on doing in your jeep. Cuz basically you can put just about any size tire on any size rim. If you're gonna be off-roading you obviously need more clearance. It doesn't really matter what size you get if you're just using your vehicle for commuting but you still want at least a couple of inches of clearance for those unexpected bumps. If you go to any place that sells tires they should be able to tell you what size to get

the biggest tire you can put on a stock xj is a 31x10.50. now if you added an extra 3 inches. you could move up to the 32x11.50 im assuming its between the years 1984-2001?
