Can you use 4WDHI all time instead of all wheel drive

Runs in 4 wheel drive all time but won't work in Regular
drive. Got it to work one time but it jumped into neutral.

If 4-wheel drive is used on dry pavement, chances are you are going to tear up the front axles and put a tremendous load on the drive-train and possibly cause more damage. I would strongly recommend not driving it in 4 wheel on dry pavement.
