My mom has a 1999 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer the "AWD LOW" is on in her dashboard her car is acting funny what can I do?

ck to see if the awd is in low ,if not and it runs fine unplug the light, or take it to ford and be ready to spend a couple hundred bucks,
