Question type: Maintenance & Repair

hardly any heat blower great heater core not leaking just had thermostat radiator & serpetine belt replaced also temp stays @ 135-150 no higher ?

1 Answer

It should run hotter than that. Assuming your gauge is accurate, it has been known to happen that a new thermostat be bad, some of them are mass produced in Timbucktu or whatever and not tested before being shipped. It should be at least 200, try a higher rated thermostat, they can be had in different opening temps, you may have a 180, try a 195 and a good brand name one
