87 notchback mustang

my car I bought aug 87 had 4000 miles on it  I bought it in elk grove ca. by Sac. the gen mgr said it was suppose to be a hiway patrol car that they didn't take delivery on. how can I tell if it has any cop car features can I check the Vin somewhere .?  It does have roll up windows sand colored interior  speedometer only goes to 85. and no type of adornments like the 5.0 or the Lx symbols. thank you
