the 3 cars listed are good picks for the most part. id go civic for just an a to b car. 300k miles no problem out of them.

civic, they're reliable, economic, and have a lot of after-market support if you care to make it faster or better looking. A 240sx is nice too

i'd personally get a 95-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS or RS. 5 speed. but the other choices are good. except the 240sx. dont get that for a daily beater.

No offense but those eclipses are non stop money pits. Mitsu=wake up and fix it

for one, almost every 240sx around anymore has been beat to shit by some wanna be drifter. they are rare, so your not going to find a good for 4k (not likely anyway) and i've been told they have a shit ton of issues, especially electrical.

yeah the gst and gsx. the 420a in the gs/rs are good engines for just a daily driver. as long as its not a auto (a604) trans, those suck pretty bad.

I agree, a 240sx is a good project car, but not a daily driver. The Civic is probably the best choice.
