a lot of times is the clock spring under steering wheel not making and keeping connection , it is a spiral wire to allow you to turn the steering wheel and stay connected

you will need to check the codes, there are many problems with different solutions to an SRS light. read the codes and post them here.

i had the same problem, and was told to play with the seat belt, YES!!!! I kept fasting and unfastening it, and it worked. I having had the problem again, it's been about (2) weeks. I hope this is helpful. I have a 2004 Mercedes S500

I had the same problem. When running a snow on scanner it came up, Srs module Vin different then ecu Vin. You can reenter the Vin in the module and problem goes away. Here's what I was told if the car remains with a dead battery for a long time some how the Srs module drops the last number of the Vin.
