I have the same Truck But mine has a 6.2L deisel in it and i have 285000 miles on it and it is still going strong.
my 97 1500 with a crate 5.7 has 90,000 on it well on the body the motor has about 60,000 on it and my old 96 1500 with the 4.3 had 300,000 on it and it would smoke the 18's off and it wasnt slow either...
I have an 85 GMC high Sierra with just over 193,000 miles on a carburarted 305
Damn, everyone's got some high-mileage trucks here. Mine's a '98 with the 5.0L, and I've got 201K on it at the moment.
weak..all weak. lots of guys are running fleet trucks and herzog trucks that are less than five years old, but have better than a quarter of a mil on them. im really suprised you have a twenty year old truck with only 100 tho' thats less than five grand a year!
I've got a 94 K1500 with a 350 and its over 411 000 km so that would be about 255 000 miles. not easy miles either, its a farm truck so it towing and hauling everything.
My 1998 K1500 Cheyenne only has 145k miles, and my great uncle's 1998 K1500 Sierra (now his "hunting truck") has something like 220k+ miles on the original engine and tranny to my knowledge. He doesn't drive his trucks gently, either!

i have a 1995 silverado Z71. 212,00 and still chugging along. the body is excellent shape very very minimal rust. all i need is a new egr valve.

no offense taken. its deff a heap i think i have more rust than metal lol. i paid $300 bucks for the truck and have put prolly a total of 72 hrs and $800 into it. whole new front end( ball joints, tie rods, sway bar rods, KYB monomax shocks, i work an auto parts store so i bought the moog chasis and top ofthe line shocks at a price a customer would pay for the cheaper stuff. it has a 4.3l tbi completely stock and a nice set of 31 X10.5 tires. i just bought the truck the day before i did the burnout since i've done the timing chain, fuel pump and filter. everything i have changed was the original factory stuff with 160k miles. ill be putting a flat black paint on the truck to maybe hide the rust and once the weather gets nice ill do another burnout so subscribe if you wanna c the next burnout.
it came out of a 3/4 ton pickup, i bought it off my brother inlaws step dad and the only thing he did to it was replace the rear end bc it was shot it leaks ill find out the ratio one day. it definitely has no problem turnin those 31's tho

i've gotta 90 with the 5.7 with 148,000 miles on it. but my room mate has a 90 astro with the 4.3... has like 298,,000

I got a 96 k1500 with only 112,000 on it zero rust and no problems what so ever best truck Ive ever had.
Here's one for you: My 1988 Chevrolet C1500 extended cab, longbed, right now (8/28/2010) has 412,600 miles on it. It's my every day transportation. Keep yours maintained & you should be able to do the same. Great Trucks!

My Century recently broke 300K miles, going on 303K right now. Just in case y'all didn't read my post earlier, it's a 1989 Buick Century Custom Coupe, 3300 V6, Hydra-Matic 4-speed+OD transaxle.
1994 Chevy Blazer 4wd lifted still running beastly at 289,000 she has been maintained I'll never get rid of her haha
recently traded a 94' dodge ram 1500 for a motorcycle.it wouldn't die. it had 4480000 on it. last check the guy is still driving it at 480000 or so miles
last truck was 94 ex-cab 2wd 5.7 auto got it with 61k sold it 5 years later with 245k now truck 99 ex-cab 5.3 auto 4wd stepside got it with 122k 2 years ago now 185k
91 c1500 ext cab short bed just hit 492001.... no lie that last mile i blew a head gasket and rebuilt the motor along with trans and new rearend!!!
My '89 Century died recently, had 315K on the clock when the tranny grenaded in a Wal-Mart parking lot. The 3300 V6 was still running strong though.
92 1500 v6 275000 on 26 inch rims still pulling a 65 cutlass with rims on a trailer with twenties on it
