Chevrolet C/K 2500 Forum : “fuel pump????”

fuel pump????

i just bought a 1995 chev 3/4 ton with a 454 and a 5 speed once in awhile when driving or just when i start it it will start sputtering and not rev out but i just shut it off and restart it and it runs fine. wouldn't it just not work??? what else can it be ??it had been not used much for the last 3 years. the motor runs very strong so it almost has to be a electric  problem.
