unless you know how to do it, seriously have a mechanic look at it. you gotta take out the alternator, battery, timing belt, alternator bracket, coolant tank, power steering hose, and then finally the pump itself. the power steering pump usually has a bolt on pulley which is very easy to replace. a 2000 cavalier 2.2 SOHC is the usual setup for these yrs. a bolt on pulley rather then a pressed on pulley. unless ur steering is really off just replace the pulley with a 15mm 6 or 12 point short socket, and a 3/8 ratchet. e-mail me bout ur problem, at hondaeater@rocketmail.com. my cavalier is known for doing so.........eating honda's.
