Where are the spark plugs on a Chevrolet 1992 Beretta, 3.1 L automatic trnsmission located?
Location of spark plugs on a 3.1L engine for a 1992 Chevrolet Beretta?
Three are in the front of the engine, but the other three are in the back and may require removal of the intake manifold or other engine parts to access.
you can get to them without removing the intake manifold but they are a super pain in the ass and having small hands definetly helps
There are 3 in the front of the engine right in front of the radiator. Then theres 3 in the rear of the engine that are a bit harder to get out but there not bad. And no, you DON'T have to remove the intake manifold or anything. Juts reach back there and feel for them then put a wrench on them.
Agreed, it easiest if you remove the strut tower brace and make use of a "swivel" to get the back ones out
It is esiest to get at the rear ones by removing the front wishbone mounts, and prying the motor forward then blocking it in place.
Yea, removing the strut tower brace is the best way.. But thats only of you have one.
One word: Dealer. Some battles aren't worth the fight. Have the dealer install modern platinum plugs, and never replace them again.
