01 Monte Sport LS 4x 3.0, washed it today and engine compartment. Sputters and wants to die at 3000 rpm's. Sprayed with wd40 and dried all connectors I could find and let it run to dry it out.

Question type: General

What else could it be? I just replaced one 02 sensor, battery, and the alternator within the past two weeks....

Not to be a smart ass but u have water someplace its not suppose to be and water can even stay in a distributer for weeks no matter how long you drive... .. Honestly I have no idea if wd40 is conductive or not I would get some connection cleaner and go over your connections again... Also check you didn't get water in your intake folder box or filter itself, also it wouldn't hurt to check and see if you knocked a vaccine line loose soneplace

It would be quite impossible for water to be in the distributor of an 01 Montero Sport do the research and you'll know why. Not to be a smart-ass Joseph sincerely Larry
