Question type: Maintenance & Repair

van will start just fine then on occasion when i try to start it i get nothing, not even a click. battery is fully charged, new starter, and all lights on van still work, even dash lights, it just won't start. acts like a dead battery, but as i said, battery is fine. i can go out a day or two later and it will start just fine. any suggestions?

even if the battery is new...the alternator could be bad and not charging the battery. Also, check all connections to battery and starter, could be loose or bad connection.

Did you ever find a solution to your starting problem on the Windstar. I have been experiencing the same issues for the last couple weeks.
