How do you change a rear brake light bulb on a 97'mr2

cool car- are you talking about the tailight housing or the 3rd brake light? Take a good look at the housing and see for yourself how it comes out-

for the tail light there should be an access panel in the rear trunk, if the 3rd brake light is in the spoiler there should be screws to remove the light and give you access to it, if it's in the rear window the access will be from inside the car.
