Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2005 Mustang GT has no get up & go after jumping another vehicle. It starts, it idles but if I give it gas
nothing happens, it goes about 10 mph. Is the brain fried?  HELP it's just makes me sick to see it sit
lifeless in the driveway.

i have an 05 mustang that had a lot of electrical problems, new ecm, battery, function boxes and some other stuff and its back to being crazy quick, but it took a ford electrical expert about aeek to figure it out. good luck

could be the vacuum line that controls the fuel pressure....but all in all it should probably be taken to a professional

the worst part was water got in a junction box that shared the throttle postion motor wire with the temp gauge sending unit wire, i would give the car gas and the engine would cut out and the temp gauge would spike all the way to hot, should have seen the look on the counter persons face when i was explaining what happenned,,,,,,

my guess is you might have fried something ju ping your husbands truck, but 'we little people' do not have the equipment to troubleshoot all the electonics

Probably need a new starter , inspect the alternator for any loose / faulty wiring , and replace the fuel pump or have a licensed dealer (Ford) replace all the spark plugs & fuel injectors...
