Toyota Corolla Forum : “Seems like tranny is stuck”

Seems like tranny is stuck

Have an 88' corolla with over 200k.  While driving it started to make an awful noise, during the next trip the front wheels locked and now won't budge.  The shifter cycles through all gears and seems to engage "you can hear the motor bog down when it’s accelerated".  But it won’t move an inch on its own power, not ever roll in neutral.  Could this be a stuck parking pin, might this be super bad news and the transaxle is toast, what might I be facing here?  Thank you for any advice.
