About: Nissan Pathfinder
'07 Pathfinder LE 4x4
i recently noticed a high whining noise when i accelerate. i took it to my mechanic and he told me the engine sounds fine. i just got the oil changed and have 57,500 miles on it (i did a lot of driving for my old job). any suggestions what this may be? it is very audible when driving at low speeds, but can still kind of hear it when travelling 55mph+. if i turn up the radio, i don't hear it at all.

you could find its your tyres..i had new ones on the rear, all terain tyres are kinda whiny

I agree, it might very well be the tires. I had something similar sounding happen to me a few months ago. Mine is an 06' Pathfinder LE, with 32,456. Silver
on graphite, love it, but my lease is up in February 2010, so sad
