I have a '99 Nissan Altima with the cd/cassette head unit and it occasionally just doesn't work correctly.

My head unit screeches giving me it's current software info and won't do anything else until I turn it on and of a few times and
remove the cd I was listening to. Then it works but only on my previous radio channel or the cd I just insert and I can only adjust
the volume and nothing else. What is the problem?

It says Ver 7.02, just if your wondering.
