Oil at high pressure

So I changed the oil yesterday.  Same filter, 10w40, Lucas.  Changed it, checked the level perfectly full, started, no prblems drove around, ran great.  Then, this morning I start it up and it's at 90 psi oil and smokin like a chimney.  I get out and check the level and it's a half quart too low.  Did the guy before me use 5w and the 10w is fuckin me up or what?

sounds like you need to take the engine apart and clean it. that's usually what high pressure and smoke means.
