I had two 12" Type Rs in my GTP powered by an MTX thunder amp.. Very strong and smooth bass.. 10s and 12s have very distinctive sounds. You may want to listen to your choices before buying. As far as amps, make sure you get one that puts out more wattage then you need (on an RMS rating). You can always tune down the wattage. This will give you a much harder hitting and smooth sound from your subwoofers. FYI - Audiobahn amps suck!
