My 87 National makes a chaffing sound after 10 to 15 mph. Any idea?

What general area does the sound come from? Front, back, left, right, etc.? Does it change when turning or braking?

U-joints are a possibility.

It sounds like its coming from under the dash, drivers side. Not exceptional when turning or braking.
