I Have a ford sierra 2ltr DOHC, and have skimmed 10 thow off the head so will valves hit the pistons when assembled.

no. But as an extra control feature, there is a brass bush inserted in the cylinder head to indicate the maximum you can skim. You shouldn't skim the head beyond the face af this bush. Hope this helps.
