1.4 4-valve VVT or 1.2 2-valve TSI?

Hey there, which engine would perform the best while maintaining a good mileage?
The first engine is a 1.4 liter, 4-valve In-line 4 cylinder VVT engine with a manual 5-speed transmission.
(Suzuki Swift)
The second engine is a 1.2 liter, 2 valve In-line 4 cylinder turbocharged engine with a manual 6-speed
transmission. (Volkswagen Polo)
At first I thought the 1.4 liter engine was obviously going to win, but then I heard about the turbocharged
engine on the 1.2 liter engine.
Which is stronger/quicker? and which is the most fuel-saving?
