vauxhall corsa b temp gauge wont rise but thermostat been replaced

vauhall corsa 12.8v thermostat been replaced has run a while with temp gauge working until recent cold spell now gauge doesnt move . hot air comes threw heater vents and doesnt use water.

Sounds like either the sending unit or wiring was damaged by the cold temps or the gauge itself is bad.

i have a w reg corsa on the display clock where u have the time date and temp but the temperature keeps going up and down (all the time) how can i solve this its doing my head in lol plz help anyone
