I'm sure you can, they both used the AX4N and AX4S transmissions. The "N' is the revised one and used on the Duretec motors and all Taurus from 2003 on up. Check with your local trans shop for more info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_AX4N_transmission
