BMW 318i loses power when kicking down(needle surges)
Once you kickdown the needle on the RPM indicator goes like to 5000 for a sec then goes to 4750.
if no check engine light would check fuel filter sounds like u losing fuel pressure at high rpm's otherwise a bad spot in a fuel pump
It's going for a service soon probably change the pump,do you think it has anything to do with the cataylic converter(whatever
that is)
try to listen to tailpipe check for a whistle or a pfft sound lol my convertor going to heck but still pushes ok, "more or less" top out sooner and higher rpms not reachable, may be wrong but dont think cat would decrease rpm
but at 282,00 miles everything is finally loosening up hehe go bmw
All im telling you people is it's ok the car is 7 years old and covered 26200km.Not bad but still holding up with not too many interior
sounds and rattling.
