1996 CAVALIER WONT START I HAVE CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER,SPARK PLUGS,WIRES,AIR FILTER,THROTTLE POSITION CENSER AND IT TURNS OVER BUT WONT START,THE REASON I STARTED DOING WORK IS BECAUSE ONE DAY I WENT TO PICK UP MY DAUGHTER FROM SCHOOL AND IT STARTED WHEN I PUSH THE GAS IT SOUNDS LIKE WHOOOP WHOOP WHOP AND DIES, IT WOULD IDLE BUT IF I TOUCH THE PEDDLE IT DIES.

Here's something to check. I have a 99 cavalier that started going haywire on my way to work one night. The gauges started jumping all over the place and I lost my headlights and it spit and sputtered all the way back home. The negative battery cable actually has 2 grounds. One on the engine and one on the battery box. Mine was rusted out on the battery box. I reattached it to the core support and it's ran fine ever since. Mine cavalier also has 210,000 miles on it

I have a 94 cavalier rs 2.2 and when i start my car it idles really rough and the car will shake and yu can smell gas. It goes away when i drive away or push the accelerator. I replaced the 02 sensor air filter fuel filter air temp sensor. I replaced the plugs and wires with ACCEL and when i changed the the spark plugs had white powdery stuff on them. 3 Answers

My car will try to stall like its getting too much gas from a stop and go but if I punch it everything clears up. The check engine light is on also

I have a 1997 cavalier. I was riding down the road last week my car was running fine. When i came to a red light my car died, but started right back up. When i tried to give it gas it would would die. 1 Answer

it still starts but when i put it in gear it just dies. IVe only changed the the fuel filter and checked the injectors and the injectors are fine. I dont wat else it could be someone please help.
