Where is the computer box located on a 1998 Chevy blazer and what purpose does it serve?

If you have a concern with trouble codes you can get a code read at a parts store for the OBDII system, then google the code. Warning lights normally function to let you know it has self check handled and the light stays out after starting. Is that the system you refer to? Engine and powertrain controls? or body controls ?
