Dear jcarmouche--  I don't have enough information to diagnose your problem with your 2001 Tahoe, but it is obviously some snag in the electrical system. These kinds of problems need expert, hands on diagnosis and repair.  They can be relatively easy to repair if you know what your are doing, but you can cause all kinds of additional problems if you are not experienced in this field.  Let a pro look at it.  Good luck from Bovan.
