2001 chevrolet tahoe lt 4wd malfunctioning fuel gage
seems to be an electrical short with the fuel gage. It seems to be effected by electrical surges from other components. ei: the interior lights turning off, accellerator being pressed, door opening. Any info on causes or repair would be helpful. you can fill the tank all the way up and it will read empty. then start driving and it will jump to full or open the door and the courtesey lights come on and it jumps back and forth as well. the truck has 137,500 miles on it.
