should i change my water pump (venture) if the pulley is not spinning

Turning by hand its not spinning? Then yes. Was there a loud squealing when the belt is on?

yes there was squealing but was not loud, so i guess i would change it then, do you know what would cause this,
It is possible but i havent seen one lock up. Can you move it by hand? How does it feel? They do have a bearing in them that can wear out and that can make a noise too. It will most likly wobble around with the belt off if the bearing went bad. You may also hear crunching when you turn it.

I went a head and changed the pump,. Apparently the bearings went bad and caused it to jam i had to bang it off, now the vehicle is perfect, Thanks a lot for your help guys..
