YOUR SKYLARK PROBABLY NEEDS AN ACCELERATOR PUMP IN THE CARB. OR A COMPLETE REBUILD OR THE VACCUM ADVANCE IS NOT WORKING ON THE DISTRIBUTOR.

check your spark plug when i firt got mine the plugswere all cracked

the vin# is located on the lower left hand side of the dash and is viewable through the windshield

I would go with the vacumm advance also. the diaphram inside is probably bad, if you have a vacumm tester, pump it up and see if it holds vacumm, if not, thats your problem.
