Headlights are controlled by the BCM (body control module) which plays by it's own rules~

You know...and I hate to mention this as a cause for great animosity amongst my fellow Gurus, but assure that your battery is newer than five years old, or GET A NEW ONE....and when you do, clean the black cable connection to the chassis ground...it's like one bolt, but an important one, is the meat on the bone for all your computer operated devices....can cause the ECU to have a "brownout" acting like a fail...betcha anything if this ground is cleaned and good hearty connections established will cause your troubles to go away....magically~

you are wonderful I do not touch the cars with computers. I am a 62 year old mom of a college grad. He does not touch any cars I take it to the shop for him.I will check everything out.

okay bulldogmom98, but sometimes a new battery will not help too much as it's the grounding is what the problem is...may have to point it out to them~
