what are the automatics like for towing?

I towed an 06 sedona with 5 adults and 1500 lbs trailer and it did a decent on the hills and freeway. I did add a secondary trans cooler at uhaul. I chose the 3 ton trans cooler in addition to the factory unit. Even on a grade I kept AC on and lock in either in 2nd or 3rd gear without and cooling problems.
