63 Lemans

Asked by jgb62 Jan 22, 2011 at 01:07 AM about the 1963 Pontiac Le Mans

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Considering the purchase of a 63 Lemans. My concerns are the availability of parts specifically the transaxle and brake parts as these seem to be unique to this vintage and I can't find anyone who handles them. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The best advice that I can give is join the Tech Board at performanceyears.com (its free) They have thousands of members which Im one and have a specific area devoted to these cars and parts. Second, Join POCI or Pontiac Oakland Club internantional as they have the "little indians" chapter which is devoted to these unique Pontiacs, a monthly newsletter etc. I bought my first Pontiac @ 15 and am 36 now and have owned and (still do) enjoy Pontiacs on a daily basis. Contact me @ safari421@yahoo.com if I can be of further assistance.

Almost any good transmission shop will be able to take care of the transaxle, as far as brake parts are concerned, look no further than Amazon.com! Check it out.
