HOW CAN YOU tell when a timing belt has to be changed
1 Answer
Bill answered about a year ago
They should be changed every 100,000kms. If it is knocking it may be to late, engines are " interference fit" types now! Meaning that 4 valves per cylinder are timed so precise that if the belt or chain jump or skip that will cause valves to hit the piston and bend them. Good luck if that happens. $$$$$$$$$
