i have a 8v which came stock with square lights. how can i get my hands on round light grill and lights to fit my 1985?
try junkyards or ebay.

They stil make those brand new in South Africa and are not to expensiveGrill and head lights Even bage less grils
You need to buy a the grill or modify one from another gen. I doubt you'll have much luck at a junkyard, but you can try. A local shop here: www.concept1.ca sells the kits. Maybe try to find a local vw part shop.
did the 1985 gti 16 valve come with round lights?
