We have a Jeep Wagoneer at a deer camp that needs parts. How do we determine what year it was made?

VIN number, take VIN to your local Jeep dealer or call in, this will decode to year, engine size, etc.

Look at the tenth digit of the VIN number. 1980 starts with A, 1981 is B, 1982 is C and so on up until 2000 which is Y; then 2001 through to 2009 will be digits 1 through 9.

Look at the VIN number either displayed on the left-hand side of the windshield, on the sticker on the inside of the driver's door, or in the engine bay. Write it down and call a jeep dealer
