g54b oil pan

I need some mechanical info.
Does the engine have to  be jacked up to get the oil pan out from the engine on my 87 ram 50 with 2.6 engine ? Thanks for your help.....Huckelberry

Yep its a lot easier if you do if you have a engine hoist you just loosen the motor mounts and the transmission mounting bolt located in the center of the transmission brace. The raise the motor just enough to get the pan off. I've also just loosened the motor mounts and done it before but its safer on the trans if you do it this way
